FFunction (www.ffctn.com) is an award-winning data visualization studio based in Montreal. We’re looking for a talented mid- to senior-level developer to join our team ASAP. In this full-time role, you’ll be working on interactive data visualizations and data-driven applications for high profile international clients.

We have helped clients including UNESCO Institute for Statistics, Google, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, HP, National Geographic and the Canadian Cancer Society visualize their most valuable property—their information—and use it effectively to drive change on a worldwide scale.


TASKS

  1. Work with the design team to transform wireframes and mockups into HTML, CSS and JavaScript interactives
  2. Help normalize, process and explore new datasets
  3. Work on our project planning tool Min (www.min.team)


SKILLS & QUALITIES

  • Passionate about programming / software engineering / dataviz
  • Sensitivity to graphic and interactive design
  • Inside-out knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Solid knowledge of a general programming language (Python, Java, C, etc)
  • Comfortable with a UNIX environment
  • Not afraid of learning new things
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects involving different clients & team members
  • Able to deliver elegant and maintainable code
  • Able to work closely with a cross-functional team of developers, designers and project managers to produce high quality work
  • Must work well under pressure, be adaptable, and meet deadlines
  • Bilingualism (French/English) an advantage
