The Open Technology Fund (OTF) is seeking individual(s) or firms to help us make a data visualization web application that highlights the basic metrics received through our application system, including categories such as number of applications received, amount of money requested, geographic region of origin, duration of support requested, and type of application, among others.

About us: OTF is a global internet freedom program supporting projects and fellows working to combat internet censorship. Since our start in 2012, we’ve received 1,500+ requests for support through our online application system. With an open call for applications, this figure is growing in real time. It is from here that you will find and present the aggregate information for this visualization of our application pipeline.

For this project: you’ll work with us to decide what data to assess and how to present it. We’re looking for individual(s) to help us better understand what we can learn from our existing data, identify what if any data we could collect to deepen our understanding, and then create an initial analysis and visualization of OTF’s requests for support.

This is a one-time, contract-based offer. Acceptable applicants will offer to provide the requested services within a 6 month or less contract term. Remote is fine. For reference, OTF is based in Washington, DC.

Acceptable applications will be for no less than $5,000 USD and for no more than $50,000 USD, must include the number of hours of work being provided, and the hourly rate per offered service.

Applications are due by 07-Jul-2017
