The Visualization Developer Position
We operate a small and tight-knit visual analytics team that focuses on collecting our clients' problems and turning them into high impact web apps for visualizing and analyzing their data to find solutions. This team is looking for a web developer who shares our passion for interactive experiences and data visualization. The ideal person for our team loves building products and thrives in a small team environment while being fairly self-directed. This developer works with our clients, designers, and data architects to produce interactive web applications on top of our data modeling layer.
The Responsibilities
· Work with data architects to ensure proper feed of data into web app
· Develop UI/UX based on input from design team and client
· Produce highly interactive data visualizations
· Maintain and update our internal code toolsets as needed
· Work closely with the design team to ensure that final product effectively meets user needs
The Skills
· Strong experience with HTML5/JS/CSS
· Experience with ES6
· Preferred experience with async programming, especially Promises and Observables
· In-depth knowledge of MVC frameworks like Angular or React, responsive design, and WebSockets
· Familiarity and experience with data visualization development
· Experience with data visualization libraries like D3
· Ability to work in a fast-moving, agile environment
· Strong communication and self-management skills
This is a full-time position based in Atlanta, GA. Some travel to clients is occasionally required.
