This position is a unique opportunity for someone to flourish in data visualizations. Visually representing big data experience is a strong plus for the right person. You will be working with a diverse group of individuals while maintaining a strong visual presence for the output from the data.

Description: Looking for a graphics professional with data visualization and communication(s) background. Must be able to create stunning informative visual representation of data that encapsulates key messages. Must be able to convey information visually from data heavy content in engaging accurate graphics. This is a specific challenge that will require a person to move between the visual graphic communication world and data representation world. This position is a short term challenge that may result in other challenges. This Challenge is perfect for someone looking to contribute to the body of knowledge and work with a team of problem solvers.

Qualifications:

  • Graphic Design: Must be able to extrapolate and synthesize accurate, effective, and efficient data visual representation meeting best standard practices in evidence based graphics.
  • Corporate Communications: Must have worked in a professional capacity for 2+ years
  • Visualization Best Practices:  Must know how to identify the audience, design stand alone infographics, and communication key messages in the report.
  • Quantitative and Qualitative Representation: Must know how to present quantitative and qualitative graphics representing numerical and categorical data in an engaging infographic.

Notes:

  1. Length of time: This project may be short term. The possibility for other challenges may be offered upon successful completion of this project.

  1. Self management: Strong self-management skills are required to successfully meet the challenge requirements.

  1. Life cycle development: Become part of a strong team of problem solvers that work towards finding solutions.

  1. Must be aware of best practices in programming data visualization: Able to accurately abstract information while stimulating viewer engagement and attention.
