FFunction is an award-winning data visualization studio based in Montreal. We're looking for a graphic design intern to work with us over winter 2018. This is a paid position ($14/h), and can be either full- or part-time. 

The candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in dataviz and information design and work with a talented team in a bilingual (French/English) work environment. 

ABOUT US 

Since 2008, we have been at the international vanguard of data visualization, and we believe in harnessing the power of data to communicate with credibility and make the world a more transparent and data-driven place. 

We have helped clients including UNESCO Institute for Statistics, Google, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, HP, National Geographic and the Canadian Cancer Society visualize their most valuable property – their information – and use it effectively to drive change on a worldwide scale. 


TASKS

The Graphic Design Intern will be working with FFunction’s Creative Director, Art Director and UX Specialist to create:
  • data-rich user interfaces
  • illustrative infographic projects
  • data-driven reports
  • branding assets for our new project planning tool, Min. 

REQUIREMENTS 
  • Sensitive to typography 
  • Talent for vector illustration 
  • Ability to apply the aforementioned skills to the Web 
  • Communicating information visually 
  • Skilled in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop 
  • Not highly allergic to dogs 
  • Has an interest (and developing aptitude) in information design, dataviz and UX
