Are you a developer looking to use your skills to solve problems? Would you want to write code to influence decisions and protect natural resources? Do you believe in the potential communicative power of geographic based data?

The Cape Cod Commission is looking for a Geospatial Developer candidate to develop applications that will be used to inform the public, visualize data, and provide decision transparency with web applications. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and one or more years of progressively responsible experience in a development role and with programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Applicants must have strong data and information management skills, analytical capabilities, and ability to interpret complex technical and scientific information and translate into code.

Candidates need to have an understanding of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with SQL relational databases; familiarity with server side languages (PHP, NodeJS, Ruby, etc.) and using ESRI ArcGIS Javascript API, ESRI ArcMap, and ArcGIS Server map server technologies is desired.
