Developer internship with data visualization studio - Washington, DC

Graphicacy is looking for a developer intern to join us this summer to help create data-rich/interactive visual experiences via online information graphics, tools, microsites, dashboards, and motion graphic videos.

Exceptional candidates will have the potential to become full time members of our growing team. We are seeking individuals who are interested in, qualified for, and excited by this possibility.


Required:

– Skilled with front end development, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

– Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js

– Interest in information graphics and data visualization

– Experience with source/version control (e.g. Git)


Bonus points:

– Knowledge of Object Oriented Development

– Experience with Angular or React

– Experience working with designers

– Experience working on content management systems, eg. Drupal

– Any background in working with data


Graphicacy is a creative analytic design firm with services including data visualization, interactive applications, information graphics, data analysis, graphic design, and motion graphics. Our team is a diverse group that works in a stimulating environment at the WeWork collective workspace in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC.
