Description
Riffyn is building an ambitious D3.js/Meteor.js application to advance quality and collaboration in scientific R&D. Users can create maps of laboratory processes and join them with experimental data to visually identify trends and causal relationships between variables.
As a UI Engineer, you will develop head-turning interfaces for the design of scientific experiments and acquisition of data. Your responsibilities will include full-stack development of concurrent, reactive browser and mobile device functionality. You will work with colleagues and customers to bring elegance and simplicity to experimental design, laboratory data acquisition and analysis of scientific data. Critical requirements are the ability to identify, scope and solve interface and data transformation problems, and the ability to rapidly iterate from prototype to final product with input from designers, developers and customers.

Requirements
• Bachelors or Masters in computer science or closely related discipline
• 5+ years in full-stack software development, with significant UI experience
• Experience with Node.js, Javascript/Coffeescript, Python, D3.js, HTML5/CSS3, Bootstrap
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
• Desirable: experience with Meteor and mobile UI/UX development
• Desirable: experience in a laboratory setting and in integrating laboratory instrument data
• Desirable: formal or informal training and understanding of a scientific discipline
