Drag and Drop Between two canvas elements

I am new to D3 Js.

I have the following problem. 

1. I have two canvas elements. 

2. I need to drag and drop rectangles between these two canvases

I have seen a a number of examples of drag and drop within the the same canvas.

Any help is appreciated.
