Linkout function not working

I added linkout to a couple of my nodes and exported it into a web application to see if it would work, but when I click the node, nothing happens. I added the url to edit-->preferences-->properties, and when I right click the node and add the link, the correct web page pops up, but when I test it out it doesn't work. Also, is it possible to add the same linkout to all the nodes?

Hi, if you add a link according to the instructions here: http://manual.cytoscape.org/en/stable/Linkout.html?highlight=linkout but without a node id you should be able to add the same linkout to all nodes.
