We're very pleased and excited to announce availability of Cytoscape v3.6.0, effective immediately!

 

To get a copy, surf to http://cytoscape.org/download.php, and download and execute the installer for your workstation.

 

Since v3.5.1 (in May 2017), we have addressed 104 issues and added the following:

 

·         Cytoscape Automation

·         yFiles Update

·         Network search bar

·         Starter Panel

·         New starter networks

·         CyBrowser integeration

·         Drag & Drop sessions, networks & tables

·         Diffusion

·         Copycat layout

·         Unattended installation

·          Customizable Toolbar

·         High Sierra support

 

Note that v3.6.0, does not support Java 6, 7 or 9 – Java 8 is required. 

 

v3.6.0 still supports 32 bit systems such as Windows XP.

Hi thanks a lot for bringing up such a useful tool! I have a problem that I used to use cytoscape v3.5.1 on my mac. It worked well. Then I changed to java 9. I cannot use cytoscape anymore.

Here are things I have tried.
1. I rollback to java 8 but still, nothing worked.
2. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. It showed me a java.lang.NullPointerException error message.
3. I suddenly found that you have released another version. So I downloaded and installed 3.6.0. Still I cannot use.

So I don't know what to do next. My problem is there is no error message or any kind of message shown when I try to open cytoscape. I just double click on the icon and nothing happened. I'm sure it worked well 2 weeks ago and I have never touched it ever since. Could you please help me out?
