Hello,

I am trying to use Cytoscape the build a network but finding a lot of trouble, as the network is just one long rectangle (attached) -- it appears this is called the "partitioned node-link representation." However, I was hoping for a network shape that was more circular (like my second attachment); it appears this is called the "node-link (graph) representation." I can't seem to find anything about how to obtain this shape for my network. I see there is a circular "layout" option, but that does not match my second attachment. I was wondering if there was a way to get this? Thank you very much.

Go to Layout->Settings.  Select Edge weighted Spring Embedded and then select the "Don't partition graph before layout".  That should do it.
