How to display OWL ontology as graph using cytoscape

I am developing a java swing desktop application, in which i want to display an ontology as graph. 

Is there any API available for cytoscape using which i can perform this task?.

Not directly cytoscape related, but there are visualization components such as WebVowel which can help do this:

there is a plugin for Protege here: http://vowl.visualdataweb.org/protegevowl.html

This should give you an idea about desktop-side use of the library.

Protege has a few other visualization options also
