Hi,

When I create a network from a file where the nodes have an interaction value, & I indicate to cytoscape that the field for the interaction value is an edge attribute, do the network centralities calculated using 'Network Analyzer' use those weights to calculate the network centralities?  The field for the interaction value (edge weight) imports as a double/floating point, so it's definitely numeric.

I tried importing the same network, once with edge weight & once without.  In both cases, the results of the analysis were identical.  So, it seems like Network Analyzer isn't including edge weight in the calculations.

I also looked up the Cytoscape 3 user manual to see if there was anything about this topic.  It describes using the advanced button to change interaction type, but (very frustratingly) doesn't specify what those types might be.

Finally, when I import the network, the field is located in the edge table as an attribute.  I just have no idea how to tell Cytoscape that it should use those edge weights in its calculus.

Network Analyzer doesn't support weighted networks.  I would recommend installing Centiscape, which does.
