Hello everyonee,
Im a student, now Im finishing my thesis. My thesis topics its about homerange and core area from Orangutan Kalimantan and I use ctmm packages. when I try to analysis then it find problem like this

 > f1<-ctmm.fit(jr,g1)
Warning messages:
1: In cov.loglike(hess, grad) :
  MLE is near a boundary or optimizer failed.
2: In ctmm.fit(jr, g1) :
  pREML failure: indefinite ML Hessian or divergent REML gradient.
3: In cov.loglike(DIFF$hessian, grad) :
  MLE is near a boundary or optimizer failed.

I dont know what the meaning is it.

Hi Erin,

Those are not errors; those are warning messages. You used ctmm.fit() and I am guessing that some parameter(s) are not well supported by the data. I would recommend ctmm.select() instead---especially if you get those warnings. I am guessing that the selected model will be one with fewer features than g1.
