Hi all,

I'm trying to find guides with the Zhang lab's CRISPR design tool but it seems not to be working for the fly genome for neither single sequence nor batch modes.  I hit "Submit" and nothing loads.  However, when I do the exact same thing (same sequence) but select the human genome, it works fine.  I really need it for Drosophila...  Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks,
Diana

Hi dhc,

We actually have the Drosophilia database in Benchling if you want to try that out!

Check it out here: https://benchling.com/crispr

You can also let me know if you have any questions :).

Hi Victor,

Thanks for your response.  I actually tried to use the Benchling drosophila database earlier but it also wasn't working.  Once I submitted the sequence there was a circle that kept spinning, but I waited an hour and results never loaded.   I emailed support earlier to ask why I might be having trouble, do you have any idea?  I'm not having any other internet problems or anything.

Hi Diana,

I'm sorry to hear you had that issue. That sounds like there was a bug on our side that prevented the loading screen from going away.

I can help troubleshoot that problem. You can chat us from within Benchling using the question mark in the bottom right corner of the screen. Or you can link me to the sequence that you are having trouble with.

Thanks!
