Dear all,

If you happen to be a Bachelors student (final year), a Masters student
(currently enrolled) or a recently completed Masters (within one year)
and are interested to undertake an internship with me at the UN-OCHA
office in Geneva, there is a new posting online that you can apply to:

https://inspira.un.org/psc/UNCAREERS/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/UN_CUSTOMIZATIONS.UN_JOB_DETAIL.GBL?Page=UN_JOB_DETAIL&Action=A&SiteId=1&JobOpeningId=34683&PostingSeq=1

This advertisement is generic so we can customize your internship to
address work you are interested in and appropriate to my section.

Past interns have tackled very interesting projects and have had huge
impacts! From helping setup the DHNetwork
<http://digitalhumanitarians.com/>, to defining who the Humanitarian
Decision Makers
<http://blog.veritythink.com/post/60157407408/these-are-the-humanitarian-decision-makers>
are, to helping to demystify Decision Makers Need
<http://blog.veritythink.com/post/63454573734/demystifying-decisions-makers-needs-in-sudden-onset>s,
to developing an Impact Evaluation framework
<http://blog.veritythink.com/post/60836046028/impact-is-the-word>, to
developing collaboration guidance for both V&TCs & formal humanitarian
orgs <http://digitalhumanitarians.com/content/materials%20> on how they
can better work together, to research on Collaborative Innovation in
Humanitarian Affairs (Organization & & Governance in the Era of Digital
Humanitarianism)
Right now I have two new interns: one about to work on Humanitarian
Data Journalism and the other on Open Humanitarianism and research into
comparing the politics & negotiations within V&TCs versus traditional
orgs. I have a couple more joining soon who will work on the DHNetwork,
defining the concept of a Kickstarter for emergencies
<http://blog.veritythink.com/post/65420995209/kickstarting-an-emergency>, researching
digital currencies in emergencies
<http://blog.veritythink.com/post/79252983102/a-digital-humanitarian-aid-currency>,
Micromappers, and much, much more!

So, if you would like to join an exciting team inside the UN, consider
applying!

*If you apply, kindly also send me a direct email*. I ask this simply
because there are several OCHA sections who will be following this
advertisements looking for interns.

Reminder: internships with the UN are not paid & do not cover the cost
of travel/living [not my choice, but an institution rule]

Cheers,
Andrej
