After a few hours of rain, too much wind, no wind, rain, no wind it finally backed down from too much wind. It was still a bit too North on the first launch attempt which resulted in a busted down tube which was promptly replaced. Steve C. broke the seal after another small cell passed and went up on an elevator. Rick L. launched next and had no troubles. I launched after that and had a nice 2 hour flight. The wind turned almost due West so lift was everywhere. I spent the last 25 minutes of my flight with my bar stuffed just zooming around the ridge past the sewage plant on the way to Happy Camp. I think 3 or 4 hangs and at least 4 bags flew. Good day before the rain showed back up!

Earlier today (around noon) I busted a downtube due to launching into too cross North winds. Other than that, I had over an hour great flight at Oceanside with max altitude of about 1700 ft MSL. Paragliders Steve C , Ryan W , Benny and myself launched around 2pm in approx 10 mph WNW winds enjoying a great time soaring between Happy Camp to Oceanside.   Kory, Gabe ( Hangs) and my Pg friend Edwin all launched later with nice soaring flights as well. I'll post video and photos later.

The rain slid by and John Kraske and I launched. He was on the low end
of his wing and I was over the top of mine but soon we both had the same
idea and went out front and down. It was raining at CLO and a bit strong
but one could have stayed up and played. We both landed at Roseanne's
and I had a half dozen flights really enjoying the Trango XC3 and strong
lift. Dave Blizzard flew from Maxwell but also thought the lift and
conditions above seemed a bit like idiot lift and came down to earth. I
landed a bit short of an hpour as the light was starting to fade.

Fun day, good friends.  Dicy conditions. Early we flew at TDM after we hymed and hawed on launch and I folded up my Queen when the drizzle moved thru. The drizzle stopped and David Le let me fly his small Buzz Z3. Good n Plenty lift and soon Dave Blizzard, Greg Mc, Rob Stevens, Vince Price and David Le were in the air. The west wind was backing down and clocking around to wsw. I traded out Dave's Buzz for my Queen and made a couple teips down to Kiwanda and back before it was abundantly clear that TDM was done. We booked it north to Maxwell and Steve, Blizz the Whiz and I launched into some deceptively strong conditions that made getting to the ground a bit challenging and a goos idea. Steve made soaring the beach ridge at Rosannas look like a whole lot of fun. He was still working it as the rest of us drove off and the day was turning to dusk. FUN!

Wonderful to see everyone and finally fly.  Thought you might enjoy the pic Meeky took me and my kit about to leave the farm Saturday morning and one Gregg took of me headed back home Sunday.

Besides being "up the creek" or appears that Mr B does have a paddle...
