Flying family,

Reminder that the end of year holiday party takes place tomorrow night. Please bring a secret Santa gift and wear your worst sweater to win the holiday sweater contest. This is pot luck and BYOB and there will be limited seating, so please bring chairs.

From Roby about the holiday party:

This year our holiday party is once again late for Chanukah but early for Festivus and Christmas. As some of you are aware, there was a vote held online to select the date. There were only a small group of people who voted but of all the votes tallied, the date of choice is Dec 15th. So please mark your calendars for Friday night, December 15th & join us for this annual event filled with good cheer, good food, goofy gifts, great fun & wonderful friends & family😊 It’s children friendly but please leave your critters at home (or cozy in your car).

If you’ve ever had the opportunity to attend in the past I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s an awesome party & a “Pot-Luck” feast (so please bring something to add to the feast). If you’ve never had the chance to attend I hope you will be able to join us this yearJ

Ralph Ezagui has once again kindly offered to have the party at his place. Please note though that it’s at a different location than in the past (see below).

The club will provide a Spiral Ham, Vegetable Lasagna, a few side dishes, chips and nibbles & Salad. Additional details are as follows:

Date & Time:
Friday Dec. 15th, anytime from about 7 pm till ????

Place:
The address is 6535 Palomino Way, West Linn, OR 97968

What to bring:
Please bring camping chairs &/or folding chairs since we might be a little “chair-challenged”
BYO beverage(s) of choice
Also bring something to contribute to the “Pot-Luck” feast. This could be anything from a side dish, desert, appetizer, soup, stew, taters or cheese to a small portion of a main dish. Basically, it’s up to you to decide but please bring something you think would be nice to eat:-)

Gift exchange:
It’s so much fun when everyone can bring a gift for the gift exchange!
Santa’s recommendations/guidelines: anything at least= $10.00 value (or more—your choice). It can be a "normal" type of gift or a "White Elephant" type of gift; whatever you're in the mood to bring. Please note though that if it's a White Elephant gift there are some requirements: it can be odd, interesting, strange, weird, unique, funny, something that you didn't really want and perhaps received as a gift (or any combination of these things) --but please do not gift any junk or garbage!!

Of note: It's been a CPC tradition for many years to package gifts in odd/abnormal packaging. For instance—the box looks like it’s a CD Player but open it up & holy macaroni—as it turns out it’s a lady’s handbag! Or it looks like a giant-sized gift-but actually there’s a small one inside the giant box. Anyway, if at all possible keep up this tradition. It really makes the gift exchange all the more enjoyable😊

How to get there:
Here’s a link to Google Maps:

Parking:
You’ll need to find a place to park on the street(s) nearby, since garage area/driveway parking will need to be reserved for Santa & the party Elves😊
