Oceanside Open 2017 Day 2.

Today's weather is a repeat of yesterday with gloomy skies and more rain.  I arrived launch at 9:30am,  winds at 15 mph WSW with gusts to 25 mph. Rechecked again around noon and it had dropped down between 10-20+ mph.  There was a few dry windows that lasted for about 30-45 mins before another squall approach. It would have been a perfect hang soaring day if there wasn't so much squalls. Everyone had left by 3:00pm; I decided to hang out at launch and decided to fly around 4:30pm.  Launched at 5:10pm on the south side and it was really gusty. It felt like 10-20 mph wind when I punched off and 25-30mph at 1300ft. Way more rowdy than yesterday flight.  Flew for hour and 15 mins because big squall was approaching. Done packing up right before the rain arrived.

There was at least one PG flight today.  Ross (Seattle pilot) flew launching from Happy Camp (Superman launch) and landing below the community center when some rain started.
