Tiger flight monday

Took the 2:30 Tiger shuttle on Monday as the forecast looked nice.
Climbing out over launch I had a juvenile Bald come over and join my
thermal. We climbed out nicely together though he did reverse direction
once which I accommodated. Once high the eagle widened up his pattern
and ended up above me and must have been feeling smug. Extending talons
rolled on its back folded wings a bit and dropped down on me, not a dive
but stalled with body twisted with talons out losing a couple of hundred
feet. I yelled and grabbed some A-s on one side making a small collapse
and some noise and the eagle resumed flight a few feet above my wing.
Rather rude behavior as he was waffling around the sky before I showed
him the way up. The clouds looked great but the day was drying up so my
plan of surfing clouds way north was not to be. I landed just past
Carnation and joined up with Dave Wheeler and a retrieve. We ate
blackberries waiting for the few pilots still up to land. I did not
turn on my flight recorder until I had already made most of my initial
climb and did not get any photos of my flying partner.
