Hiring an Intern or Work for Trade

Hi Everyone. I'm a space owner. I've been open for about 5 months. I need to get out and connect with the community. I'm running the space, solo and I'm considering hiring a part time intern or doing a work for trade program. This will be so helpful. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.

There's lots of ways to tackle this, but one thing I've seen consistently make a HUGE difference is that the person truly wants to be there. This person is gonna be a first contact for a lot of folks.
At the same time, it's especially tricky to set expectations because it's not generally not a full time job (and if it is, there's other things you gotta work on!) but the person needs to be around consistently, and be available.
It was about 18 months into Indy Hall before I brought somebody on part time to help, so kudos to you for starting sooner (one of my biggest mistakes was how long I waited!).
