Hello,
Is it possible to get couchbase compiled on a SPARC machine? I seem to get stuck on v8, which does not compile on any big endian architectures(ppc, sparc), and there is a tone of platform specific code.
1. Is there way to get couchbase working without v8 or with a different js engine?
2.  Is it possible to compile enough of v8 without the platform specific bits?
3. Is there an older version of couchbase that does not depend on v8?

Thanks!

1 & 2. Unfortunately you cannot build Couchbase without V8 (or any other javascript engine). You could of course try to remove the need for V8 (which would disable all view functionality in Couchbase).

3. The 1.x series of Couchbase does not depend on V8.

Cheers,

Trond
