Hi,

I understand that there rolling updates are available for CoreOS
Is there a way to do a rolling update for the docker images in the cluster ?
or current best practices or recommended strategy ?
Should i use go-omaha or update-engine for application/containers too ?

Thanks,

AFAIK not natively by fleet.

We are using marathon which has this feature, I bet kubernetes will have similar feature.

These (or similar) solution is IMO must have If you are close to zero-downtime solution with apps running as docker containers.

CoreOS fleet is low level scheduler and of course does not have such rolling updates option.
As I moved my development/production servers to CoreOS last summer (bold move)
I had to develop myself all release scripts from dev  up to production as at that time kubernetes was just a baby,
mesosphere just working on that too.

But these days Kubernetes is mature and nearly final release
Mesosphere looks good too.

So these ones you should look at for your solution.

Personally myself I like Kubernetes and already preparing the move to it.

Juts my 2 cents :-)

Yes , it is, but I was not sure it can do rollback updates, so I did not put it. :-)
