Are there any CoreOS docs on using flannel or cilium or calico or tinc networking to make a VPN
across three datacenters as you bring up nodes to make a cluster with odd numbers of nodes?

Suppose you have network failures between datacenters, and datacenters stay up on battery power.
Is it best to have even numbers per datacenter except for a tie-breaker datacenter that has
single nodes? That seems how you would avoid split brain cluster caused by an outage.

I interpret that the two things you want:
  - no single server failure will take you out
  - avoidance of split brain due to single network failure

Thus, the minimum deployment for three sites is nine: three at each site.
