Query about subdomains.

Hello everyone.

I have a website built using wordpress on the main part of the domain and an oracle based system on the sub domains.

The problem we have encountered is getting the cookies to pass between the main part of the domain and the sub domains. If I bought the paid version of the plugin, would it be possible to set it up so it effectively passes the cookies to the sub domains?

We have tried a few different solutions and all have failed because of the different operating systems at each level.

Any thoughts?

Hi Michael,

I 'm not sure what you mean "pass the cookies between the main domain and the subdomains". A paid license of Cookie Control would work fine from a subdomain. When it runs from a subdomain, ie when a user visits a subdomain, he can accept or decline the use of cookies (based on your consent model). This means that cookies will be placed or not, based on his selection, on that exact subdomain and its parent main domain.

If he later visits another subdomain, he will have to accept or reject the use of cookies there, so again you will be covered. Note that in any case, it's not possible due to browser restrictions to delete cookies that were created on a specific subdomain, from another subdomain:
