Uncaught ReferenceError: CookieControl is not defined

I installed the Pro version onto our website yesterday but I get the error Uncaught ReferenceError: CookieControl is not defined when I view the website. The site works as it should still but I can't see the Cookie Control module.

I sent a message to support yesterday but haven't heard back.

Hello Iain,

seems that the caching plugin used, has enabled the 'Defer parsing of javascript files' option (or a similar one). In that case the Cookie control configuration is loaded before the cookie control script, and that's why fails.
Please check your settings and exclude cookie control script (//cc.cdn.civiccomputing.com/8.0/cookieControl-8.0.min.js) from being deferred.
