I'll be presenting the concept of creating a Content Strategy to our executive leadership team next week. While I don't anticipate an argument that this would be good for the organization, there will be questions about the cost (billing it as an "investment") and who should do it (in-house vs consultant). Not to mention what it will do to the organization if we actually implement it.

Before my next meeting, I'd like to have some examples of associations or mid-size organizations who have successfully implemented a content strategy. Do you have any case studies about organizations that have gone through the process and come out on the other end? Or even why you have a perfectly good Content Strategy in a drawer. Most of what I know about are the big guys or the more tactical 'content strategy for the web' which I'm already doing. In this case, we're talking Content Strategy.

Thank you in advance for anything you can share!

I was in the enviable position of working on the City of Vancouver CS, and published a slide deck about it on Slideshare. Would that help?

Yes, that would help.

In a huge rush but I wanted to say how pleased I was to read this paragraph:

" Most of what I know about are the big guys or the more tactical 'content strategy for the web' which I'm already doing. In this case, we're talking Content Strategy."

It seems I haven't uploaded the file (shocking, I know!) but I could send you a PDF if you think it might help.
