Laptop Linux Upgrades

I am upgrading Linux etc on one of the laptops to make sure nothing that
is important to us breaks (the current version of Linux we use is from
2011).

1) Please don't fiddle with the laptop with the sign on it. I am going
to leave the upgrade running.

2) Please let me know which packages you think we should install on top
of base Linux (Sl1cr, etc). I'm guessing things have changed.

Once all appears good I'll upgrade the other machines.
