OBIs anyone in CCHS or extended community interested in Project Fernvale?

(Quick description of Fernvale: it's a project to reverse engineer the MT6260 ARM9-based system-on-chip that's used in a lot of $10 feature phones in China. More information here http://www.bunniestudios.com/blog/?p=4297 )

I picked up three MT6260-based devices when I was in Shenzhen back in January, and also a small bag of second hand MT6260D chips (BGA package). However I've since gotten busy with ESP8266 hacking and esp-open-rtos and I don't really have time to play with Fernvale as well.

If anyone is interested in them for hacking fun then please get in touch. The only condition is you do something with them. :)

I have two of the "torch phone" shown in the middle which is pretty novel - as well as the 3 LED torch feature and the "3800mAh" battery it has a super loud speaker that pays five seconds of "Gangnam Style" at max volume when you turn it on or off (you can disable this by putting it on silent).

The torch phone and the smartwatch are both confirmed MT6260 and work with "Fernly Loader".

The phone on the left ("iPhnce") is unfortunately Spreadtrum based so not useful for Fernvale, I guess I should just keep it as a novelty.

PS Offer also extends to non-Melbourne based people, if you can arrange transport or pay postage. Although postage is likely to be a significant percentage of the purchase price for some of this stuff!
