Hi all.

A quick update on the large laser cutter.

First of all, it's not been abandoned, merely relegated in priority behind dealing with MKW and kit design for NodeBots Day (FYI - NodeBots Day is July 23rd this year - please come along and tell people you know).

Tonight there's been some movement with a faulty switch replaced which was causing some oddities. In addition, we've now begun to isolate the pieces of the firmware that need to change to ensure that the cutter is safe for everyone to use.

Finally, we've run some long cuts to get a sense of performance and implication of the plumbing being shared across both cutters and what that means - and have a broad plan for what will be done on that front.

So there's still some work to be done, which will be chipped away at during quiet evenings at the space but it's currently not in production yet, in fact the current status of the cutter is *dangerous* as it's very easy to fire the laser inadvertently.

More news as things happen but I wanted to give an update so everyone knew things were happening, even though they are happening slowly.

Cheers
AJ/
