HI All.

Does anyone have any experience with converting IR code formats to other formats.
I have a remote control for my air-conditioner unit that I want to try and get working on the IR remote app i got for my phone.(my air-conditioner isn't in the product list)

I wired up an ardunio to an IR sensor and used the IRremote library to get some of the codes from the remote.
The arduino spits out the code in this format.
Decoded NEC: 1FE39C6 (32 bits)
Raw (68): 10452 8950 -4400 600 -500 650 -500 600 -500 600 -500 650 -500
600 -500 600 -500 600 -1700 550 -1650 600 -1650 600 -1600 550 -1700 550
-1700 550 -1650 550 -1650 600 -500 600 -500 650 -500 600 -1600 650 -1650
550 -1650 600 -500 600 -500 600 -1650 600 -1650 600 -1650 550 -500 600
-550 550 -550 600 -1650 600 -1600 600 -500 650

The app apparently needs the code in something called Prontohex format.
When I try and convert the code I get that the code is invalid or when I enter the code into the app it doesn't work?

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Thanks sooo much.
That did the trick in like 10 minutes.

Load up the arduino sketch.
put the app in capture mode.
it records the button presses.
hit the export button and it saves a file.
Open that file and it has the code in the needed format
copy the converted code into the remote app.
set it as a button.
press the button and yay my aircon turned on.

it works well it is a pay for app and it works very well.

As a matter of interest what do the two files look like side by side? ie how does raw compare to protohex?

It turns out the app supports  timing data pairs when you do the conversion from raw.
insert the speed at the front (38000)
remove all the plus and minus signs
divide each number by 26
replace space with comma

Then you have paired timing data that is supported by ALOT of apps.
