Overview
The Workforce Engagement and Social Analytics group at IBM in Armonk NY is accepting applications for a full time position to work on analysis and reporting of large scale engagement and social media data for the IBM enterprise. The position will involve collecting, scrubbing, and visualizing data from inside and outside of IBM. Our candidate will have experience working across business and functional boundaries, partnering with internal clients to provide decision-making support through analytic insights. This candidate is adept at designing and implementing organizational research, business analytics solutions and executive level reports based on both qualitative and quantitative internet scale datasets. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in playing with the wealth of structured and unstructured data that a global corporation like IBM generates!
Preferred candidates will have a graduate degree/PhD in computer science, statistics, or related discipline with an interest in workforce research and analytics.

Qualifications
Candidates should have experience in the following:
- Background in predictive modeling
- Experience handling large-scale datasets
- Experience with at least one statistical analysis tool such as R or SPSS
- Experience with one or more object oriented programming languages (Java, Python, Ruby etc.)
- Knowledgeable in machine learning, natural language processing, and data mining

Required
- Master's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Scientific Research
- Readiness to travel 10% annually
- English: Fluent

Preferred
- Doctorate Degree
