Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide. For legal reasons, we have to inform applicants that the minimum salary for Associate Professor at the LSE is £64,276 pa inclusive.
The Department of Management is committed in its mission to inform and inspire better management in practice by challenging and extending the understanding of people, teams, organisations and markets, and the economic, psychological, social, political and technological contexts in which they operate worldwide. We are seeking to hire an Associate Professor in Management in the area of Information Systems and Innovation.
Successful applicants will have a PhD in Information Systems or a relevant related field. You will have a proven record of outstanding research, as evidenced by existing high-quality publications. You will have a track record of publishing in top journals, such as MISQ and Information Systems Research. Applicants will have a significant track record of excellence in teaching at masters and undergraduate level. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, including an ability to place one's specialist work within a broader social science context. You will also demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students, including pastoral care.
We are looking for candidates with strong scholarly records in publishing methodologically rigorous research. We will look favourably at candidates with strong scholarly records in applying quantitative methodologies to areas such as digital platforms, service innovation and e-business, social media and digital economy, and information infrastructures and digital ecosystems. Scholarship on big data as a key component of digital innovation would also be important to the Group. In addition to methodological rigour, we expect research that demonstrates a quest for relevance and appreciates the complexity of social or organizational processes within which digital innovation is embedded.
