Group: Boston Area Research Initiative Subject: Summer and Year Long Fellowships for Graduate Students in the Mayors Office of New Urban Mechanics The Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics (MONUM) seeks applications from current and recent graduate students interested in summer and yearlong fellowships in the office of Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh. The fellowships were created to attract the next generation of leaders to careers in public service. Candidates should have a strong interest in public service and be current or recent students in public policy, public administration, urban planning, or other related fields In addition to generating new ideas, fellows will learn about the mission and activities of City departments working alongside Cabinet Chiefs, Department Heads and senior staff. They also will participate in professional development and educational seminars.
