Is it necessary to install express first before creating a compound project

Hi All

I am a RoR programmer exploring the move to Nodejs. Based on my google research, compoundjs is teh way to go.

Following the tutorial https://coderwall.com/p/ys-wug, I am unable to start the server.

Steps taken

1. npm install -g compound

2. compound init myapp —coffee —tpl jade

3. npm install —save-dev node-dev

4. npm install 5. node-dev server.coffee. Supposed to get Compound server listening on 0.0.0.0:3000 within development environment

C:\Node4Compound\tasks>node-dev server.coffee
'node-dev' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Should I install exprressjs before compoundjs to get this to work ?
