Hi all,

I am attempting to get NTP sync on my Solaris 10 box and when I run ntpq -pn I receive the output "refid 0.0.0.0 st 16 t u when - poll 64 reach 0 delay 0.00 offset 0.000 disp 16000.0.

I am assuming this means I have no sync to outside NTP servers. I have verified my NTP service is started and verified /etc/inet/ntp.conf. Not sure how I determine what my NTP service is doing to verify if its actually trying to sync or not. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

stop ntpd and just run ntpdate [external nntp server] as a test. If you
get a time back, you can communicate with the other time servers OK.

unless there's a new svccfg command for that, that requires unicode
wrapped in XML or something clever like that.
