Help!The \biography{} couldnt' work!

It does well when use IEEEdocument calss,but when changed to
article class,it shows:

! LaTeX Error: Environment biography undefined.

what's the problems?

Well as LaTeX said: the environment is not defined in article.cls. Why
do think it should be defined in every class you are using?
