That would probably be Haunted House by Jonathan Cauldwell.

Rainbow Islands. (Done this one many times.)
Target Renegade. (Which repeats from the start, but gets harder.)
Colin the Cleaner. (Ha.)

And various other short/easy games.

I bet nobody has completed The Addams Family without cheating. I finished
it with infinite lives and it still took me about three evenings. Worth
it, though; there are some beautiful screens in there.

Hmm.
One of the Magic Knight series (can't remember which one)
Manic Miner
Quazatron (inasmuch as it's "completeable")
Ranarama (ditto)
Chuckie Egg
Feud
Wriggler
Probably a few others which don't spring to mind right now.

I played Bruce Lee for the first time in years last week, and it was
still as easy as ever. Straight through without losing a life.

Decent games I've completed:
Chase HQ,
Renegade,
Target Renegade,
Highway Encounter,
Knight Lore (only ever completed it once),
Manic Miner (same with this, I've never managed it again),
Head Over Heels (collecting all the crowns)

Hmm, that's about all I can remember at the moment.

Of course Robocop isn't included above as that's far too easy to warrant
a place in this list. :)

I`ve completed a lot of the easy ones above (including Robocop ;o) ) but the
game that took me longest to complete and I was completely addicted to was
Arkanoid.
That just gives you a well done screen and starts from the beginning again
as well
Do sports games like Decathlon and Hypersports or Ping Pong count?

Zombie Zombie was easier than Robocop ;-)

Ant Attack, Highway Encounter, Dark Star were about the only others
that I completed.

I don't count WotEF becuase it was too easy.

Do most games get harder if you leave them lying around for a few years?

I was never quite good enough. I certainly visited every room, but only
over a number of games. And how I used to hate starting in the yellow room
with two doors...

Heh! I loved it! Not because it was any good, it was just sooo atmospheric
when you were five years old. And it was the only game I saw that made me
think I had an extra colour - brown... but it turned out just to be the red
and cyan mixing. I stuck with it for 14 years and played it until I finally
completed it.

First off you have the 8(?) levels.. then it repeats with just the flying
bird, then it repeats again with the flying bird and the normal birds, then
it repeats -again- with the flying bird, the normal birds _and_ some extra
birds... soo... erm... 32?

After that, IIRC it just goes round to the beginning. But it was a while
back.

That would be Kwik Snax, then. Fast Food had more and harder levels.

That should've been on my 'completed' list, too.

All this talk of finishing games, I think there were only a couple I
didn't finish, that I was all that bothered about finishing... Jack the
Nipper 2 - Coconut Capers was one of them.. anyone here manage that? I
even had a map, but it didn't help. And How To Be A Complete Bastard,
fantastic game (I loved the turning into a cooker bit), but what was the
point (I expect instructions may have been useful here...)

I bet it wasn't even one of the ones hidden behind a rock or the fence or
anything either - it would be the inevitable one which was always so well
hidden that you only found it by pressing enter on some random part of the

Y'know, I've a .Z80 of that game hanging around with all but two
coins found. Might go back to it...

As for things I've completed myself:

Terramax (dead easy!)

Rex (easiest final boss - ever!)

Wizball (gets easier as you go along, kinda')

Kwik Snax (Again, an utter breeze)

Fantasy World Dizzy

Action Biker

Micro Mouse Goes Debugging

The Mighty Magus

Atic Atac

Monty On The Run (On the C64 - spit!)

Skool Daze

Back 2 Skool

Captain Blood (Mmm... nudity...)

Chronos

Cobra

Dan Dare

Supa Nova

Deja Vu 1 & 2

Feud

Throne Of Fire

Terminus

Starquake

Midnight Resistance

Myth - History In The Making (buggy game, that)

Rescue

Soul Of A Robot

Universal Hero

Hmm, not bad, actually. I'm bizarrely proud of myself. :)

There was one in the Amazing Illusion Screen below the docks. It was hard

Treasure Island Dizzy was the only one with a *really* hard to find coin.
YOu could only get it if you stood in exactly the right place so that you

Arrrgh. I remember spending ages trying to map that bit. In the end I gave

Fairly Difficult Mission had a maze, which you could only solve by sending
off an SAE (as an action in the game) for a solution. FDM was brilliantly
funny in parts - not that I ever got beyond the start of part 2.

I'm sure I heard somewhere this only happens on the 128k version, though.

I once managed to do this, without destroying any clones at all. Highly
embarassing when you're round at your Grandad's house. In the front room.

The song was by Llamahl (I don't know how you spell it), and I literally
only downloaded the song off of Napster a week ago!

How about in Gauntlet where you could pass through walls by holding down
Symbol Shift? Was that a bug or a very obvious cheat?

(I called the Ctrl key 'Symbol Shift' the other day. Got a funny look.)

Spellbound had at least one where you only found it by hitting enter in a
certain place - it wasn't even hidden behind anything, it was just
invisible. Maybe it was a bug, but I got at least one like that - maybe even

There was one behind some red reeds (or whatever those green/red wobbly
thingys were) which you could only find by pressing enter in front of
the reeds (which weren't objects themselves) IIRC

BTW, I just discovered Napster (or rather, the "amusingly"-titled
Amster, an Amiga port) the other day. I think I've died and gone to

At least, I would if my CPU was up to decoding MP3s at a half-decent

I've got the Logan's Run soundtrack on vinyl! It's great! (And will be
getting replaced as it's just been re-released on CD again)

Saw Jerry Goldsmith in concert once, sadly he didn't play any Logan's Run...

Ah, thinking about it there was one (or maybe two) hidden behind the
weeds. However Dizzy didn't actually pick up the weeds, unlike most of the
other things hiding objects. Perhaps that is what you're on about.

No. It's a bugger. The annoying thing is, you can alleviate the problem
a bit with samples by shifting them above the centre line (if you see
what I mean), but you can't do that with MP3s. And they're still pretty
crap anyway.

The 14-bit callibration tool doesn't help much either. In fact, it
doesn't work with my crappy machine. You know how you're supposed to
move the little bars so that there's no sound? I can't. There's always a
sound no matter where I put 'em. Bast.
