AMAZON PAINT AND 3D PAINT VERSION 2.0 FOR SILICON GRAPHICS WORKSTATIONS

IRVINE, California (July 24, 1995) - Interactive Effects Inc. today
announced version 2.0 of AMAZON Paint for all Silicon Graphics
workstations.

Most notable of the new features for 2.0 is full scripting capability
for automating repetitive paint and image processing tasks. Through
use of TCL (tool command language), users are able to easily prepare
complex scripts for animation, macro development and previously
difficult image processing effects.

In addition to basic scripting, AMAZON 2.0 also supports custom
interface building using the TK toolkit a TCL based interpreted
interface to the X window system. With TK, users are able to develop
buttons, menus, and other interface widgets which can provide custom
controls to user scripts and macros.

AMAZON 3D PAINT 2.0 will also be shipping with several new features
including the ability to paint across multiple models, auto-skip over
texture seams, manage bump and displacement maps and provide real-time
3D texture update while painting.

AMAZON PAINT and 3D PAINT have been used for creating the effects in
such recent film releases as Apollo 13, Die Hard 3, Interview with the
Vampire, Judge Dred, Outbreak, Water World and Species.

AMAZON paint version 2.0 will run on any Silicon Graphics workstation,
including the Indy and Indigo2 systems, running Irix 4.05 or higher and
supporting full 24 bit or virtual 24 bit color.

AMAZON paint 2.0 currently carries a list price of $3000 per license.
The 3D Paint upgrade is an additional $2000. Support for 64 bit
painting is available at an additional $2000. All products include
printed and online documentation, phone/email/ftp support and AMAZON
utilities. Educational discounts are available.
