One brainwashed moron expresses his retarded opinion.
BFD.

Here are just a few excerpts from letters to Michael Moore by soldiers in
Iraq, and there are many more moving letters on his website. From Michael
Moore:
First, a poem written by a soldier in Iraq preparing for his death:

Your hero is talking

I didn't die for my country, I died for his greed.

Blaming some "enemy," making us follow his lead.

I knew it was my duty, to fight in our wars,

But I trusted in him to take the right course.

I guess I was wrong to think he valued our creed,

To deter war if at all possible, fight only in need.

A great lesson is learned by watching our man,

He acts on his own and endangers our land.

Stand by the soldiers that signed up to serve,

Vote for justice and our lives to preserve.

I am not a pawn to be lost while the "king" simply kneels,

His party striving for power, while our country reels.

Pray to Allah this murderous plot comes to an end,

For God's name is marred with every troop that he sends.

I would have gladly paid taxes and bought gas at two-seventy-five,

To have a better economy and still be alive.

Don't blame the "enemy" for my shortened life,

Reserve that blame for the one that concocted this strife.

Osama Bin Laden was the one we fingered for blame,

Saddam Hussein was not even in the game.

I see the connection between your father and you,

If I were alive, I could tell you the truth.

Keep fighting YOUR wars with American lives,

But shiny new boxes can't comfort our wives.

To elect someone else is my only hope,

You should be glad that dead men can't vote.

"Dead American soldier"

Another letter:

...My time in Iraq has always involved finding things to convince myself
that I can be proud of my actions; that I was a part of something just. But
no matter what pro-war argument I came up with, I pictured my smirking
commander-in-chief, thinking he was fooling a nation. I discovered that the
result of the war and the actions of G.W. cannot be treated as the same
issue. Bush accidentally did a good thing for the Iraqi people. After the
fact he's starting to claim humanitarian intentions for going to war -
obviously bullshit. But he realizes that that is the only positive outcome.
I could explain what I've seen here; a people forced into poverty &
ignorance - but I'll spare you. I try not to think about the ultimate future
of this place. I'm sure we'll cause them to fall victim to Banana Republic
and Joe Millionaire, with a puppet president and monopolized oil industry.
But there will be plenty of time in the future to worry about those
things....

Another:

...You'd be surprised at how many of the guys I talked to in my company
and others believed that the president's scare about Saddam's WMD was a
bunch of bullshit and that the real motivation for this war was only about
money. There was also a lot of crap that many companies, not just marine
companies, had to go through with not getting enough equipment to fulfill
their missions when they crossed the border. It was a miracle that our
company did what it did the two months it was staying in Iraq during the
war. As an MP company, we need hardback humvees so we can mount weapons such
as 50 cals and mk19's. When our company got there, there were mostly worn
out vehicles from the last war, and everything was completely disorganized.
It amazes me with all the money our government spends on the military, all
the foul-ups and screwed up things we've had to put up with during this
campaign.
..

Another:

wow, 130,000 troops on the ground, nearly 500 deaths and over a billion
dollars a day, but they caught a guy living in a hole. am i supposed to be
dazzled?

And another:

... I would like to tell you how difficult it is to serve under a man who
was never elected. Because he is the president and my boss, I have to be
very careful as to who and what i say about him. This also concerns me a
great deal... to limit the military's voice is to limit exactly what America
stands for... and the greater percentage of us feel completely underpowered.
He continually sets my friends, my family, and several others in a kind of
danger that frightens me beyond belief. I know several other soldiers who
feel the same way and discuss the situation with me on a regular basis...

Ed,

I've no idea whether you'd recall it, but I was *deluged* with losers in
ABusenet telling me I couldn't possibly have been a Naval Officer or
Aviator, merely because I stood my ground and resisted the entire 'w'
what is and what isn't a "patriot", bit. That wormy little fuck in the
White House and all the garbage he surrounded himself with, were poison
and they appealed to toxic humans filled with hay88.

Obama and crew are going to be cleaning up a hurricance mess for 2-3
years straight. The damage done to the cohesiveness of this Union and
her ideals can be undone only by the longest term cure- death. Just as
was the case with the hay88 crowd following the Civil War. It will never
be entirely extinguished...they breed it in their households and new
generations are born. Fortunately, every cloud has its silver
lining...the economic situation and world derision America now suffers
will be put into historical perspective and labeled: NEOCON.
Conservatives / GOP's will look at their own hous and have to do their
own cleaning, just as the Germans had to do with the Nazi SS. They will
eventually come to repeat,
"never again".

The next 2-3 years will be gratifying *only* in terms of watching the
likes of Hannity, Limbaugh etc. etc. lose listeners...nonetheless, these
people became absolutely filthy $$$ rich and their family $$$ will carry
on for many, many generations right along with every other old money
"executron" thief and "religious" evangelist pc. of _______.

generations as we seem to be technologically...

Imperialism and Secrecy

John McGowan, professor of humanities at the University of North
Carolina, states, after an extensive review of neoconservative
literature and theory, that neoconservatives are attempting to build an
American empire, seen as successor to the British Empire, its aim being
to perpetuate a Pax Americana. As imperialism is largely seen as
unacceptable by the American public, neoconservatives do not articulate
their ideas and goals in a frank manner in public discourse. McGowan
states,[50]

Frank neoconservatives like Robert Kaplan and Niall Ferguson recognize
that they are proposing imperialism as the alternative to liberal
internationalism. Yet both Kaplan and Ferguson also understand that
imperialism runs so counter to American's liberal tradition that it
must... remain a foreign policy that dare not speak its name... While
Ferguson, the Brit, laments that Americans cannot just openly shoulder
the white man's burden, Kaplan the American, tells us that "only through
stealth and anxious foresight" can the United States continue to pursue
the "imperial reality [that] already dominates our foreign policy," but
must be disavowed in light of "our anti-imperial traditions, and... the
fact that imperialism is delegitimized in public discourse"... The Bush
administration, justifying all of its actions by an appeal to "national
security," has kept as many of those actions as it can secret and has
scorned all limitations to executive power by other branches of
government or international law.

The George W. Bush administration is accused of political denialism,[51]
as well as hundreds of secretive flights with ghost detainees in the
extraordinary rendition program in association with the War on Terrorism.

Conflict with Libertarian Conservatives

There is also conflict between neoconservatives and libertarian
conservatives. Libertarian conservatives are ideologically opposed to
the expansiveness of federal government programs and regard
neoconservative foreign policy ambitions with outspoken distrust. They
view the neoconservative promotion of preemptive war as morally unjust,
dangerous to the preservation of a free society, and against the
principles of the Constitution.

According to libertarian Republican Party congressman and presidential
candidate Ron Paul, neoconservatives want permanent revolution, want to
use force to redraw the map of the Middle East, believe in preemptive
war and using armed forces to force American ideals on others, believe
that the ends justify the means, do not oppose the "welfare state" and a
powerful federal government, endorse an "American empire" and
progressive imperialism, and unconditionally support Israel.[52]

Bill Kristol dismisses Libertarian Conservatives as "the extreme right".[53]

Friction with Paleoconservatism

Main article: Neoconservatism and paleoconservatism
Disputes over Israel and public policy contributed to a sharp conflict
with "paleoconservatives", starting in the 1980s. The movement's name
("old conservative") was taken as a rebuke to the neo side. The
paleocons view the neoconservatives as "militarist social democrats" and
interlopers who deviate from traditional conservatism agenda on issues
as diverse as federalism, immigration, foreign policy, the welfare
state, abortion, feminism and homosexuality. All of this leads to a
debate over what counts as conservatism.[citation needed]

The paleoconservatives argue that neoconservatives are an illegitimate
addition to the conservative movement. Pat Buchanan calls
neoconservatism "a globalist, interventionist, open borders
ideology."[54] The open rift is often traced back to a 1981 dispute over
Ronald Reagan's nomination of Mel Bradford, a Southerner, to run the
National Endowment for the Humanities. Bradford withdrew after
neoconservatives complained that he had criticized Abraham Lincoln; the
paleoconservatives supported Bradford.

Criticism in Popular Culture

Music

The Rolling Stones' song "Sweet Neo Con", from the A Bigger Bang album
(2005), is critical of American Neoconservatism, with references to the
Iraq War, Halliburton, George W. Bush, and Condoleezza Rice.
Pro-Pain has a song critical of neo-conservatives entitled, "Neo Con".
NOFX has a song entitled "Leaving Jesusland" which contains the line
"neo-conservatives run outta town"
Wet Dentist has a song entitled "Neocon Stomp" from its 2004 CD
Telepathy Rounds, a release that explores the early history of the War
on Terror in the form of NeoNewWaveElectroProg

They have a bit of a way to go. We had over a quarter of the surface of
the earth at one time, not to mention control of the oceans. Then came
the rise of socialist ideology and the commonwealth was pissed into the
wind.

Wow, what a video. I am a McCain supporter. It has nothing to do with
color as some of his supporters would have you feel, but with the fact I
disagree with his politics. He would make the simple and unintroduced feel
that he would be a dictator and can give everyone a check. And where does
this money come from?? How silly. If you want business to succeed you
remove the roadblocks and reduce the taxes. You do not tax it to death,
literally to death. Encourage business, do not become a Socialist / Marxist
fooling the silly into thinking that all they need to do is suck the tit of
the gov't and all will be ok. You must work, save, struggle and that is
where growth is. Or, you can depend on the new plantation, the gov't to
take care of you. The money must come from somewhere. It will come from
overtaxed businesses that cannot then afford to hire people, developed new
products and/or services and then we have a mess.

I am very very offended by the simpletons that vote for him because he will
says he will give them something. Can someone scream "Bread and Circuses".
You vote for people or not in my case with OBama due to their politics. I
am further offended when I am told I am a racist because I do not vote for
him. Voting for someone due to their color is an act based upon race, that
is called racism, and the person is a racist. He does not care because he
just wants to win and does not care how. If you are voting for Obama
because you "feel" comfortable with yourself because you are so open minded
and liberal because you are voting for a Black Gentleman, you are the
ultimate misguided person. You are being played for a fool by that process.
Define the hope, define what change, when, why and with him ALWAYS ask...who
da hell pays for it!?

Stop and think, re-evaluate and think about why you do something. You might
just realise that you are being played for a fool. Vote for a guy that
resisted and overcame pressure during one of Americas greatest times, the
Vietnam War. Most of the younger people do not even remember it and know it
from the lopsided propaganda of the time. Was the war wrong, I think it was,
but it never the less existed and McCain endured torture. I bring this up
because he is not promising you anything for your vote except a great
President that values honor and his country. He does not try to be slick,
or belong to and participate with organizations like ACORN that caused this
problem that we are temporarily in. Yes, we will pull out and do fine as
such is our nature. We are hardheaded Yanks, we are Americans. I CAN is
not in that word by accident.

I vote for McCain, and encourage to take a constructive step doing the same.
Well, unless you want a check from Uncle Sam more than you love your
country.

As for 'chickens', who did you vote for? And look who's in the deep

Nope. It's none of those things. You simply have poor judgment. That's
all. You have no moral ballast in your lives, since most of you were
raised during the time since God and morals and the love of country
(i.e.: belief in something larger than yourselves) became things to be
shunned. So quite naturally you don't recognize real trouble when you
see it. And that's also why we do. Most of us have the ballast that
your kind lacks to keep us running straight.
So is that your fault that you’re so fucked up? Yes, because you’ve
been reasoned with and you still cling to your mistaken beliefs. Even
in the face of overwhelming truth, you still cling to your lie.
Why...? Because to you, it feels good to be ‘bad’. That’s why.No
accountability. No rules. Just right. The devil's creed.

All of the Iraqi veterans I have spoken to over the last 2-3 years share
this man's point of view.

An American soldier was in my shop an hour ago. He is on leave from Iraq
and is looking forward to going to Afghanistan in 2 weeks. He says that our
troops are making a positive difference in Iraq. His words, not mine.

These old liberal draft dodgers don't have a clue to the discipline
and connection people in the military have because they weren't there.
They just search screwtube until they find some video that fits their
perspective and post it like it is the world view....dumbasses!

BTW, the weathermen made absolutely sure every place they

Why does that make him a terrorist in the present tense?
BTW2, there is also a McCain/Ayers connection:

Michael Moore and democratic wings. Yeah. Right. Did you really think
for two seconds that I would swallow that? Try that one on one of your
fag friends, cum-wad.
If however you really want me to take you seriously, then come up
with a new source. And it better be a conservative one. Not some
trumped up story that a fat greedy pig created to get people like you
to come and see one of his half-truth riddled movies.
See… It’s people like you that people like Obama needs. The kind that
doesn’t think before they issue a brain fart. You just open your mouth
and all of that diarrhea comes rolling out.

Michael Moore, my fucking ass.

Care to prove Moore's invalidity, ape parrot?

If however you really want me to take you seriously, then come up
with a new source. And it better be a conservative one.

Like Foxaganda or Newscraps Weakly?
They have the validity of sales slut in a hooker convention.

>Not some
>trumped up story that a fat greedy pig created to get people like you
>to come and see one of his half-truth riddled movies.

Have you seen any of his movies or are you simply parroting
some swill from some retardicon opinion site?

BTW, if you ever bothered to read any of his books, every
statement he makes is documented in the back of his books
that have been carefully examined by fact checkers, lawyers
and a token right winger. But evidently, you prefer fantasy
over reality - most numbnut neandercon chumps are like
that for some strange reason and when confronted with
the fucking truth, they don't even want to hear it, much
less evaluate it while re-examining their own predisposed
conditioned beliefs of dipshittery and refuse to acknowledge
the failure of the neocronycon ideology.

See… It’s people like you that people like Obama needs.

I never said I would vote for Obama.
I've been a registered Independent for over 30 years,
but along with that I preserve my impartiality to facts
and reality, not propaganda, not emotional outbursts,
not parroting AM hate-spewing loudmouths like some
pathetic dittoshithead who needs someone else to do
his thinking for him.
At this point, I am still undecided and will most likely
vote 3rd party, but I think it's unreasonable of too
many republicon rubes to falsely accuse Obama
or any democrat of being "America-haters, traitors
and the like based soley on guilt by association or
emotional issues and outright lies. More than half
of your fellow Americans are registered democrats.
That doesn't mean they are all godless aethiests,
commies, pinkos or America-haters. They are
just regular people like you think you are. So enough
with the obstinate, arrogant, more patriot than thou
flatulence and realize as Americans we have to
work together to get through this crisis. We can
do it. We've done it before.

>The kind that
>doesn’t think before they issue a brain fart. You just open your mouth

Well, it sure was fun texting with a close-minded twat
who's most likely never seen a Michael Moore film or
read any of his books, but knows how to knee-jerk
with condemnation initiated by operatives who's sole
purpose is to destroy the credibility of the messenger
so all of the DUHbya sycophants will automatically
assume all of Moore's statements are simply invalid.
Sad and pathetic.

There will always be the few who joined the military for a free
paycheck, not knowing they would actually have to fight if called

The second-hand story of one soldier who enjoys his work does not carry
the same investigational weight as, say, interviews of thousands of
soldiers given complete anonymity and thousands of Iraqis combined with
real statistical measures of their mental, physical, and economic
health.

One second-hand story is an anecdote.

Iraq is now an ally of Iran. When the Iranian President goes to Iraq
for a visit, he kisses the Iraqi President.

http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/0303/p01s04-wome.html

That soldier lost his leg fighting in a war that should never have been
waged. They could have removed Saddam Hussein without a major invasion. Now
the Shiite leaders in Iran and Iraq are looking to become friends. Saddam
Hussein was against Iran, remember the war? I bet you didn't know the Iraqi
Prime Minister is against the US using bases in Iraq to strike Iran. I bet
that soldier doesn't know or care about that because he has to deal with his
disability. But after the US pulls out of Iraq, and we will, Iran will have
a bright shining ally next door. One less thing for them to worry about.

Uh, the soldier that lost his leg can speak for himself. Afterall, he
*is* the one that served and lost his leg.

This is your typical lib thinking he can speak for our troops from the
comfort of his library computer.

It doesn't work that way guy. You don't speak for anyone and neither
does fat boy Moore.

Hmmmm, it seems our resident home-schooled right-wing nut job can't
handle a simple *line wrap*.

Perhaps if you weren't booted off of your previous news service and
thereby forced to use Google Groups, you could have avoided such taxing
intellectual challenges.

The original link works fine. If you'd like, I'll quote it in its
entirety.

I doubt that Dean, Kerry and Obama have lost any sleep over this.

Please provide a link to where CNN reported on ths article. You can't.

Anyone can post video on CNN and express their views on different
articles in the reader comments sections following some pieces. That
does not mean that CNN reported it. Fucking liars. Why don't you
conservatives try telling the truth for a change. Look at what you
have done to our country with your misleading bullshit.

Yours, libsruinus, is the classic conservative view of the world
around you. Blind as a bat. Criminally insane.

>> Very Kerry-like.

Kerry is a much better human and soldier and leader than that pathetic
little punk that you conservatives elected.

You are referring to a comment that he made once that was blown way
out of proportion by people that wanted to obscure the darker truth
about their own little thieving game. These same people got into
office with their cheap lies and deception thanks to people like you
and gutted our country and our military.

Kerry served in 'Nam while your Boy George hid out in Texas in the
National Guard. Today the gutless little punk sends the Nat Guard over
there for extended tour after extended tour and doesn't have the guts
to say the Draft word.

How many years you got in the service, libsruinus?

This freedom-loving liberal was drafted in 1972. Want to talk about
it?

Back then, if you kept your grades up, you avoided the draft.

Get it? That is what he was referring to. Very few people actually
signed up for that war.

Kerry did.

Ted Nugent, rightwing conservative and darling of the NRA and the
gun-totin' hicks, shit his pants to avoid serving his country. (Oh,
but he is such a man when he faces off against an unarmed animal with
one of his large guns. Yes, I eat meat, but I don't brag about
killing. I can see the basic discrepancy.)

Mutt Mormney, rightwing conservative and almost president, got a
mormon missionary draft deferment and went bike riding in France.

Kerry walked the walk, and dirtbag conservatives like you Swift-Boated
him.

How many years you got, libsruinus? Would you go to 'Nam if they
called you, or would you duck out into college and keep your grades
up? What would be the smart thing to do?

Rich white Republican kids were able to afford college and were not
exactly throwing down their books to run off and defend America
against rice farmers.

Working class Democrats were traditionally the ones that were first in
line for the draft.

Our country would be in much better shape if we were electing Kerry
for his second term right now.

How old are you, libsruinus? got kids? I am 55 with one 24 yo
daughter, and there is no way she is going to fight your rich man's
war.

libsruinus would you care to explain your name?

libsruinus, LAUGHING OUT LOUD, every time you identify yourself with
the rightwing, you raise your hand and say, "Hey, everybody, I'm a
blind dumbshit follower of ignorant jerks like Limbaugh, Bush, Cheney,
Rove, McCane, Palin, and all the other dufus pieces of crap that have
raped and plundered and pillaged our land with the help of people like
me. I'm proud to be an american and give my land away to the rich and
wealthy. They worked really hard to steal this land from us and they
deserve to keep all they took."

LAUGHING OUT LOUD!

LAUGHING OUT LOUD!

LAUGHING OUT LOUD!

When Clinton left office there was a budget surplus and the world was
relatively peaceful. No one got real rich but there weren't quite as
many poor.

Now we are in trillions of dollars of debt, a war that will haunt us
for decades, religious kooks everywhere in government, failing
schools, social services that are disappearing,

and you have the gall and arrogance to say the libs are ruining us?

Please explain your name, libsruinus, in the context of the last eight
years.

This is the classic conservative view of the American Soldier!

Very libsruinus like.

Now YOU are disrespecting our military.

You say that one "vet" expressing his personal views is to be
respected as though he speaks for the entire military armed forces
when he is blasting Obama, but when views contrary to yours are
expressed, they aren't soldiers, they are liberals looking for a
handout.

No one that joined the military ever expected a free handout.

Your attitude says it all, you are willing to smash the libs no matter
what.

Those aren't soldiers, those are conservatives looking for a handout.

How do you like that, libsruinus?

No one has disrespected our military more than George W Bush Jr. The
dumb son of a bitch killed more than 4,000 of them in a pointless
worthless criminal war that was highly profitable to his daddy's rich
buddies.

That is disrespect of the soldier, to put him in harm's way
unnecessarily.

Why did your hero elect to put Boots on the Ground, Mr. libsruinus?

Profit. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Halliburton no-bid contracts.

How much military time you got, libsruinus?

This Blue-Collar Labor-Union Dope-Smoking Long-Haired Pagan Liberal
Democrat has four years military service, Viet Nam Era Vet, 2
deployments SE Asia, aboard a US Naval vessel armed to the teeth with
all sorts of high-tech explosive toys.

Drafted, while your conservative pretty boys went off to school. I
joined the USN for four years to stay out of the jungle, guaranteed
east coast, Europe. Yeah right. I went straight to San Diego out of
boot camp.

Dumb shits like you, libsruinus, talking trash about the libs, really
express the classic conservative view of the world. Dumb as a whole
boxcar full of rocks.

How much time in service you got, libsruinus?

You can send your kids to Iraq. I won't let mine be sent over there.

Free Gift!

Is there a way to eternal life?
If there was, wouldn't you really want to know?

Not all roads lead to God, and by now you may have discovered life is
not as simple as you once thought. For those who are at this
crossroad, the Bible offers a new direction, one filled with purpose,
fulfillment, and acceptance. The steps are simple:

Recognize that you are a sinner.
You must admit your spiritual need: “There is none righteous, not
one.” (Romans 3:10) We can’t make excuses or blame others for our
actions. “For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of
God.” (Romans 3:23)

Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.
“For Christ also suffered once for our sins, the just for the unjust,
that He might bring us to God…” (1 Peter 3:18) Jesus paid the price
for our sin. The Apostle Paul said, “…the life which I now live in the
flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself
for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Repent of your sins.
The word “repent” means to change your direction. The Bible tells us,
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the
Lord.” (Acts 3:19) God commands us to repent. You must be willing to
turn away from the things that displease God.

Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will
give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) It is essential to come to Jesus just
as you are. Don’t try to “clean up your life” before you come to God.
Instead, receive Him and allow Him to do the cleansing. Jesus said,
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes
to Me I will by no means cast out.” (John 6:37)

“…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans
10:9)

Sorry I don't know you well enough to have been able to
tell you were doing "tongue in cheek". Some folks *actually*
still believe Obama really is a Muslim just like there are those
geniuses who believe that Saddam was responsible for 9/11.
And they are completely serious about it!

The problem with tongue in cheek is if you have to reveal
that you're just joshing, it takes away from the effectiveness

I've been lurking here on and off for a long time.

I've tried to avoid getting into it, but as you said earlier bad

Lies and deception have torn this country down.

And there have been a lot of lies and deception here on AGA.

It is not just here, the sickness is everywhere.

Fun is fun when sports are concerned, but jive talking has no place in

That manner of thinking is truly offensive to the other people in this
country.

I have encountered an incredible amount of flak in my life as a Union

one of them that I was working over the side of the Coronado Bridge

confessed it scared her to even drive over the bridge.

I used to look for Union Labels on items. I made Union Wages and tried
to buy Union.

Then I just tried to find Made In USA labels.

People cheered when Reagan stomped PATCO (Air Traffic Controllers). I
remember their attitudes. They thought they were winning something.

I received a job call one day. When I got to the hall to pick up my
dispatch, I found out I was to replace a long-time
co-worker/acquaintance who had died the day before on this job I was
going to. (Scissor-lift accident).

Union workers made too much money, my Republican (ex) in-laws told me,

If they only hurt themselves that would be bad enough.

I'm still laughing over your characterization of the American couple

Well *that* post was a blessing Dr RaTsTaR!

I really appreciate it. Thanks.

Without making this thread insanely long, some thoughts:

1.] "Truth is what we need now." As you may know, I've been typing this
into ABusenet for _quite_ some time now.

2. ] "No one cares about the truth, they just want to win no matter how
badly they lose." I recall typing almost the exact same thing here!

3.] "If they only hurt themselves that would be bad enough." Man, those
are almost the very words I used to close a purposefully humorous 'Zine
article about white collar sociopath "bad bosses" in the workplace...

Let's see if I can dig this up--

I thought I would post to this thread and your post seemed like a
great place to start. I see a lot of posts that scream and hollar one
way or the other with regard to the upcoming election and I understand
that most people who post here enjoy taking the extreme in whatever
direction they are pointed. I alos know that each party has several
groups of highly qualified individuals whose job is to ensure that
whatever position the opposite party takes on an issue fails. My
question is this. Once either party wins the upcoming election how can
we as a collective "america" get behind the elected individual and
move forward positively? It seems to me that the societal need of
media groups (TV, Internet, Political, social) to continue to find the
conflict in an issue that we are bending over so the rest of the world
can watch what was once the mightiest power on earth take it up the
Keester. If America votes for Obama for prersident, will you support
him, or are you part of the afore mentioned group?

Good luck to us all

I think that the extent to which the rich have gotten richer, poor
poorer and middle class poorer, guarantees a virtual absence of what
your post hopes for. A socioeconomic class-based rip has developed in
the American fabric which only a cataclysmic war or a protracted
economic humbling can mend. It didn't happen overnight and thus, it
can't be expected to vaporize overnight. Tremendous damage has been done
to a tremendous number of people and families.

Somewhere in the 1970's successive generations ceased being able to look
forward to a better life than their parents experienced, respect for
elders disappeared and manners evaporated.

Stand by. That's my opinion.

You mean will I support him like I did with Bush, Clinton and the
Presidents before him or will I label him a moron, criminal and
murderer just because my guy didn't win like the Left has done the
last 8 years?

I think if Obama wins, you won't see that kind of daily, non-stop
hatred for Obama from the Right. Most non-leftists are generally pro-
country first. OTOH if McCain wins, there are already whispers of
riots by Farrakhan, the Black Panthers etc. and are being fanned by
hate sites like the Huffington Post saying the Republicans are already
planning to steal the election "once again".

So, one may say, "Well, let's let the black guy win and the left will
be happy and the mature people will be mature."

But the danger in that scenario is that the Dems will control
everything and you have a very dangerous person in charge. You will
see a major decline in morals as God will be banned from everything...
gay rights and marriage will be shoved down our throats and taught in
schools... abortion will be used as birth control... blacks like
Jackson and Sharpton will put huge pressures on Obama for more
handouts for black and poor people... the military will be crippled
and the defense cut and our edge in technology taken away at a time
when China and Russia are updating and improving their armies... crime
will go up as prison sentences become lighter in exchange for liberal
rehab centers... immigration will spiral out of control as the border
is loosened once again to get more Dem voters up here in the US...
Iran will develop their nuclear bomb, in defiance of the Obama treaty
they sign which gives them billions of US dollars *not* to develop a
bomb, but which in turn they use to actually expedite it's
manufacture... terrorism will return to US soil as every terrorist
organization out there will want to test the new naive President and
take advantage of his defense cuts... Europe will initailly embrace
the new black leader, but will drop him like a rock once we are
attacked and are asked to join a military alliance to return to the
Middle East right after Obama pulled out... and the stock market will
once again crumble as Obama and other Dems once again put pressure on
banks to loan to poor people so they can have a house like the rich.

Don't take my word for it, listen to Obama - it's all in his speeches.
People are just too delusional to see it and look at him as the
messiah, just like they did with Hitler who foretold WW2 in all his
speeches.

There are many other things he has said I don't need to look them up
for you. You can do that on your own. And you need to be clever and
read between the lines, like when his church gives an award to
Farrakhan and when states like Mass are already teaching gay marriage
to second graders and he says he wants to negotiate with terrorists
etc.

Everything I said is within the liberal vision for America. You being
the model lib, it's surprising you of all people would need any
citations.

Nope, what made you think I was for Obama? His pacifist views and
surrendering to terrorists will lead to much larger wars and greater
killings ala Neville Chamberlain. This is the biggest thing that libs
DO NOT GET!

"This paper I hold with President Ahmadinejad's signature means peace
in our time. We come back from Iran with honor!" - President Obama
after Tehran summit, 2009

"Unfortunately we have found out today that Ahmadinejad cannot be
trusted and he has acquired a nuclear bomb and has gone against our
agreement." - President Obama, 2010

Certain areas of defense, yes. Wasteful defense spending, yes.
Somehow you conservatives are all in favor of having a leaner and more
effective government, yet when it comes to the defense department all
that goes out the window. Why? Do you think an overly bloated defense
establishment is actually good for the country?

I don't need to. I'm already well aware of Obama's position. I agree

Define Obama's definition of wasteful.

Many libs thought many of the weapons that won the last two wars in
Iraq were largely "wasteful".

Obama wants to -

"Slow our development of future combat sytems" - while China and
Russia play catch up.

"Cut tens of billions in wasteful spending" - again, define wasteful.

"Cut unproven missile defense systems" - meaning our current missile
defense will stagnate.

I said *listen*. If you would listen you wouldn't need me to explain
things to you.

Farakhan's award had *nothing* to do with him leaving. That was
something he was aware of while he was at that church. He left because
of his pastor and because he is running for President.

Again, why do I need to explain this to you?

That's as asinine as comparing the Vietnam war to the Iraqi war.

There was nowhere near the level of hate towards Clinton as there is
to Bush by libs.

Who were the Cindy Sheehans that wanted to kill the baby Clinton or

Who was the Mike Moore equivalent that made the Fahrenheit 9/11 movie

Who was the Bill Maher who thought it would have been a good thing if
Gore had died from a bomb in Afghanistan like Cheney?

Who was the Kanye West that said Clinton hated black people?

Who were the Dixie Chicks that called Clinton "a dumbfuck"?

And which Republican of Nancy Pelosi's stature said Clinton was, "a
total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the
economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject." ???

I love it, libs have no clue at all at how hateful and disgraceful

"Rush and Fox were as bad because I say so" doesn't get it.

Or that hateful or as much of a liar.

Thanks for that.

Wrong again, lib.

You need to come fully prepared and hope and pray I'm having a bad day
if you ever question anything I say, bub -

Dixie Chicks To Bush: "You're a Dumb F**k"
It's been more than three years since the Dixie Chicks sparked a media
firestorm by announcing they were "ashamed the President of the United
States is from Texas." Now, the embattled country stars are reigniting
the blaze with a highly controversial documentary featuring lead
singer Natalie Maines calling President Bush a "dumb f---."

BINGO!

People hate people that hate. There was no such equivalent outcry
during the Clinton years becuase there was no equivalent hate during
his years.

BINGO!

Liberal hate has given Bush the lowest ratings ever.

Why do you libs even try to rationalize your hate?

You couldn't even muster one quote - how sad.

"Irony Meter == Broken!" because you say so?

Name names and specifics.

You mean by people who actually served with Kerry? Sure.

Mike Moore has never served or met Bush and has never held any office
and is a propagandist for a living and has made millions off of it.

Still waiting for even just one equivalent qoute....

Come on, lib. Be specific. He never went on live national television
and said anything near that.

Of course you're not sure and once again, you have no facts on your
side only "I say so"

LMFAO

Q-U-O-T-E please.

Geez, 5 lib responses and still not one equivalent quote! LOL

The best they can do - "Uh, people spewed as much ugly hate at Clinton
because I say so!"

You lose... again.
