I am curious. Are there any existing released games that use dual core
setup? How about upcoming games within 2-3 years?
Thank you in advance. :)

Quake 4 and Call of Duty 2 both support dual core
Oblivion does, and I think Rainbow Six : Vegas does as well. Pretty
much any title designed for both PC and 360 is almost sure to have
mult-ithreading support to some extent.
But don't forget all games benefit from multi-core systems because
operating system tasks can run on one core without taking away
performance from the game you're playing, even if its a game with a
single thread.

I think the readme for R6:Vegas said something about a download to get duel
core optimization? Maybe they put it into the new patch so the download
isn't necessary anymore.
Also...
- Company of Heroes
- Gothic 3
- Splinter Cell Double Agent (I think)
- HL2 : Episode 2 will. The Source engine is being optimized to support
*multiple* cores. The more the better.

Oh wow. Do any of these games need patches or parameters to run with
dual core? Or do the games detect them and optimize?

You missed two:
- Crysis
- Alan Wake
I hear that for both these games, they'll use as many cores as they can
find, which is not only dual core but quad core (and beyond?)
Found some benchmarks with the dual core patch for Quake and COD2
here..
More benchmarks.. Also please note that even HT chips seem to
benefit.

Thanks. How about newer games like Company of Heroes, Oblivion, etc.?
Quake 4 is pretty old and I am not planning to play it. I played the
demo and didn't like the game.
Uh, where? You forgot the URL(s). :(
Sorry, I fucked up. I will have to find them later and post them.
Meanwhile, please note that patch 1.08 for F.E.A.R enables multi-core
support.

Oh nice. No benchmarks though? Oh well. Too bad FEAR is old, but yet I
haven't played the full expansion (heard it wasn't good).
Er... well yes there are benchmarks there... granted they don't show
the differences between the 1.07 and the 1.08 patch, but benchmarks
nonetheless.
Actually F.E.A.R has had many new multiplayer game modes added to it
since its release, free of charge (not to mention multiplayer was made
free to the public).. With all the evolving online maps, etc, and the
added value Monolith added after initial sales volume had long died
down, I don't see how anyone could count this game as "old". If
Anandtech and Toms Hardware ever refer to a game in their latest
benchmarks, it means the game still has a strong following.
