Also, does it run under DECnet/OSI for OpenVMS and/or OpenVMS V6.0 ??
Thanks...

No. DEC UK seem to have decided to just throw the product away. This
has caused an immense amount of bad feeling with regards to DEC
amongst (especially) the UK academic community. It will run up
to 5.5-2 and it will run with DECnet/VAX extensions (and probably
OSI on 5.5-x but I haven't tried).

It was originally developed in the UK, and marketed there by DEC, which is
a decision I think they deeply regret. They recently announced they were
no longer supporting it, and VMS users on Janet there are trying to work out
what they should migrate to.
I can quite honestly say that I have never seen a more brain damaged piece
of network software inflicted on VMS. It makes UCX look like a TCP/IP product!
It was quite some years ago when the Irish academic network, which originally
adopted this software as its standard to be compatible with Janet, realized
what a load of crap it really was and ditched it for PMDF (VMS machines were
more dominant in HEAnet than Janet) over X25. Since then, interestingly,
the network has moved from X25 to TCP/IP, making HEAnet effectively part of
the Internet.
For someone to consider moving into Colored Slime is bizarre, and I strongly
recommend using something more modern, like pieces of string connecting
aluminum cans.
Seriously, I would make two suggestions:
1. FTAM (from DEC) provides OSI standard file transfer over X25.
2. PSI-MAIL (PSI 4.3 or later) will allow you to SEND/FOREIGN binary
files (including Backup savesets) via e-mail, which can be extracted
at the other end intact (no messing with editors or encoding). You
can do similar things with PMDF if you have it.

It didn't at first, but there may have been patches since then (we had long
since burned all CBS kits, and covered the ground with salt by the time
the OSI stuff came out).

Good luck. You'll need it !
