Hello,

I am new to developer2K. After I installed the Developer2K and ran
the demo program,
I got the error mesage, "FRM-40034: cannot attach the library file."

Could someone out there kindly tell me which file I need to attach and
how to attach it in
order to make the demo program to run?

Thank you for your time.

Happy Holidays....

The solution really depends upon what platform you are running,
the cause however
is the same which is that the xxxxxxx.pll which has been
attached to the form you
are trying to run is located in a directory not referenced in
your FORMS45_PATH.

If you are running 3.11 then you need to edit you're oracle.ini
file, if you are running
95 or NT then you need to edit your registry ( run regedt32.exe
). I think its the
section HKEY_LOACL_MACHINE/software/oracle. Open up the form in
the designer
and check out the entries under attached libraries, then located
them in the file
system and then edit FORMS45_PATH to include their location,
easy !!

if you are runninh 16-bit, check you ORACLE.INI for the right path.
if you have 32-bit, run REGEDIT and check the forms path.

in both the cases, the path should include the directories where the
library files (.PLL) reside.

good luck.
