UDB 7.2 and TSM Client 4.2.1

Hi,

I have a strange problem with UDB and TSM:

On a p660 RS/6000 I installed AIX 5.1, UDB 7.1.2.55 as well as the TSM
client version 4.2.1

No problem with the installation but no chance to backup the database.
When I try to check the connection to TSM with db2adutl it stops with
the following error message:

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program db2adutl because of the following
errors:
0509-150 Dependent module libApiDS.a(dsmapish.o) could not be
loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libApiDS.a(dsmapish.o).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does
not exist.
------------------

libApiDS.a does not exist with TSM client 4.2.1 under AIX 5.1. What I
find is a libApiTSM64.a in /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin64, but
unfortunately UDB insists on the older version.

Any idea what is going wrong?

I think you install TSM Client 64bit Version. tivoli.... api64..
I know some problem 64bit TSM Client.
So, I recommand install to 32bit TSM Client API module.

Check Install package from this command : lslpp -l | grep tivoli
