Hello,

i have a mixed relationship with the ColorHug. I bought it pretty early with OK results on my ThinkPad, but since upgrading my Laptop and Monitor, it never produced satisfactory results for me. I did all the firmware upgrades when they where out and i tried it again from time to time.

On the other hand, I was and am amazed buy the great support, continued active development and free hardware upgrades for early buyers. It was a great and painless experience! Thumbs Up!

I am very interested in the ColorHug+, but i figure it will be quite some time until this one is available. So i am willing to give the ColorHug 2 a chance.

What are your experiences? Can I assume good results on a wide array of different devices? A good EIZO FS23XX gaming monitor (IPS), a 2010 High-Res MacBok Pro, some cheap LCDs at work?

Also i heard that some people are still interested in the ColorHug 1. If I upgrade, i would sell mine. Good condition, seldom used, relativly recent firmware with gasket and strap update. I think 30€ would be a fair price. What do you think?

Did you upgrade to an LED backlight by any chance?

Great, good to hear.

I've had very few people complain of gamut mismatch with the CH2,
compared to a fair number for CH1. I'm much happier selling the CH2
knowing it is much more likely to work with modern screen types
without a CCMX matrix.

FYI, I'm happy with people selling on used devices here; I have just
one remaining of the new stock and so when that's gone anyone who
wants a CH1 will have to buy one secondhand.
