First I would like to thank Richard and all the others on here for their contributions to open hardware and software.
I recently got a ColorHUG2 in order for the sole purpose of matching the colors on my dual monitor setup. I learned about the product from posting here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gnome/comments/5i52we/gnome_dual_monitor_colors_and_other_happenings/?st=iygedbu8&sh=60e2798cI fired up the OS on the key-drive, followed the on-screen directions and archived a profile for each of my monitors. I loaded the profiles on my Debian/Gnome instance and sadly, the left is still warmer than the right (DisplayPort/HDMI if that makes any difference). I am not a color expert, but it seems like the white balance is different between the two monitors.
I did not alter the settings on either profile at all. I did adjust each of the monitor's RGB setting and brightness settings with the internal menus per the instructions when creating the profiles and both we in-line with the arrows as instructed. I started by loading the profiles created on each monitor (1/2) and then tried (1/1) and (2/2) and I am not able to notice much if any difference at all. Any help with this would be much appreciated and again, thank you to all.
