[CB 4.1.0] Could not find the ColdFusion component or interface

Hello,

Frequently, but not consistently I have been getting a 'Could not find the ColdFusion component or interface Model.beans.ValidationResults' error when doing load testing on a Fusebox/Coldbox hybrid app.  I have the following code:

The highlighted line is what generates the error (stack trace is at the bottom).  The 'validationResults' is mapped as a transient in wirebox.  I ran varScoper on it and don't see anything in the validationResults.cfc that would cause an issue.

The frequency of the error seems to escalate in relation to the amount of load I'm putting on the testing server.  Out of 176 hits to the offending URL, I had 39 failures.

This is running on ACF 9.01.  

Thoughts about what I can check out next?

This is a known ACF bug unfortunately under load for acf 9.  Maybe upgrade?

I am not sure if it is documented in the ACF bug tracker, but we have hit that in several ocassions under heavy load with ACF.

Luis,

Thanks for the info.  I found that if I enabled 'Component Cache' this issue went away.  However, enabling that setting comes with a whole host of other issues if you are like us and trying to work with two different versions of coldbox on the same server.  It's nothing we can't work around until we get off ACF and onto Lucee.

How is ColdFusion resolving the component path Model.beans.ValidationResults?  In other words, is it being found relative tot he web root, relative to the current template, by a server level mapping, or an application-specific mapping in Application.cfc's this.mappings?

Hi Brad,

It's an application level mapping to a set of code outside of the coldbox applications directory.  I tried a server level mapping just to make sure that wasn't the issue and it wasn't.
