Change query cache size on a running cluster

I have just noticed that I have not set the query cache size to zero on my cluster. Furthermore I have no setting for type either.

Is it OK to change these parameters on one node at a time, thus keeping the cluster up and running, or do I have to take down the whole cluster first?
