we are running mariadb 5.5.34

Welcome to the MariaDB monitor.  Commands end with ; or \g.

Your MariaDB connection id is 39096

Server version: 5.5.34-MariaDB-wsrep-log MariaDB Server, wsrep_23.7.6

GAL4> SHOW GLOBAL STATUS LIKE 'wsrep_provider_version';

+------------------------+--------------+

| Variable_name          | Value        |

+------------------------+--------------+

| wsrep_provider_version | 23.2.7(r157) |

+------------------------+--------------+

it shows we running galera api  23.7.6    and in show status it shows 23.2.7

We have a 5 node cluster

What is the best way to upgrade to latest version of mariadb galera cluster 5.5 ( 5.5.51) .?  Do we need to upgrade to API 25 and v3 ? Can the upgrade be done online , node by node ?

Thanks

Aman

As this is not a major or minor version update , I suppose you can try a rolling upgrade (Galeracluster Upgrade).

You have 5 nodes, you can try with 1 and if something goes wrong , you can always downgrade and in worst case scenario - force an SST after the downgrade.
